The update installation process depends if you are using version 5.4 or a pre-release version of 5.5 Users of the pre-release 5.5 can just update the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone SoftPhone application while users of version 5.4 should also update the call center adapter and TAPI Link Connector.
•Install CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application version 7.7049.1 (mandatory)
•Update Call Center Adapter (recommended - required for Lightning Experience, Skype für Business, uaCSTA Desk Phones and if new configuration options are used)
•Update CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link (optional but recommended - no longer requires a Serial Number.)
Note - in case the CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link application is not updated, you have to set the option: SoftPhone handles dialing rules=N to be backward compatible.
To install this update a valid cloud subscription is required.
If you are unsure, which CTI Data Connector SoftPhone or CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link you have installed, just hover over the headline: CTI Data Connector in the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application. The version number is displayed.
The first entry with SoftPhone is the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application version number. Latest version is 7.7049.1.
The second entry is the connector or Server version
•TLC (CTI Data Connector - TAPI Link). The latest version is 5.7.2).
