API: Property LockIsError

EasyGo: License transfer screen. The Serial Number is displayed after the license transfer is done and also copied into the clipboard

EasyGo: In case a license file is backed up before the license transfer and restored after the transfer, a new online validation is done

EasyGo: The default option in trial mode is to continue with the trial and not to continue to activate the product with a Serial Number

EasyGo: In case of a copy protection violation (error 1024), the button Activate Again is only visible when the product was activated online

The regular license check sends a new status code which allows the Activation Server 4 to display in the column request type the text: License Validation

EasyGo: Activation by fax displays an e-mail address. Instead of sending a fax the user can e-mail the PDF file.

EasyGo: Activation by e-mail. The e-mail content is no longer automatically inserted as this would not work with Unicode. The user has to paste the clipboard content instead

API: AddModule has 3 new parameters

License Viewer:  label of the button Deactivate was renamed to Lock as the button locks a network license and does not deactivate the license

License Generator

Runs on Windows 8 (32bit and 64bit)

Unicode support in all screens

TAB Activation Server - allows to configure a project and upload a project to the Activation Server 4. The files for the server are automatically generated

The concurrent user feature is now part of the Basic Edition. It is no longer required to buy this feature separately

New option to copy a project

New key type to disable / enable regular online checks

New installer for the License Generator and the SDK

When uninstalling the Generator a license transfer is done so that the Serial Number can be used on another computer

User interface redesign with new icons

Create Project Keys was renamed to Create Project and moved into the File dialog

The license file for the Licence Protector license does not longer include the information about the update subscription. A new Serial Number is sent out for each main release

An update is available for:

 

•Licence Protector - Generator and DLL/ COM exe - Version 4.0

•Automatic Licence Generator - Version 4.0

•Activation Server - Version 4.1

 

Update eligibility

The update is free if one of the following conditions apply:

 

•You have a valid update subscription

•Your update subscription expired after May 20th, 2013

•You bought an update or upgrade after April 1st, 2013

•You bought Licence Protector after April 1st, 2013

•You got a free update to version 4 with a promotion

 

 

All customers who are eligible for the update will get a new Serial Number and download links until May 20th, 2013.  If you didn't get a Serial Number until this day and you are eligible for the update, open a support ticket

Backward compatibility

Activation Keys

•The LicProtector400.DLL can read all Activation Keys from prior version. It can also create Activation Keys which will work in older versions.

 

License Files

There is no compatibility regarding the license files as version 4 uses Unicode. Version 4 cannot read older license files and it also cannot create license files for older versions.

 
 

Activation Server

 

•The Activation Server 4.1 can accept Transactions from prior DLL versions

•The Activation Server 4.1 supports all features from Licence Protector 4.0. It is mandatory to upgrade to Activation Server version 4.1 if Licence Protector version 4 is used

 

 

If you use the Hosting Server, it will be automatically upgraded. .
