This screen provides the key details and an overview of all transactions for one single Serial Number / ID / Activation Key.

 

 

 

You find detail information like product name, Key Type or Module ID in the header section.

 

You can modify:

 

Effective Key / ID Usage

Number, how often a Serial Number / ID or Activation Key was used

 

Maximum Key / ID Usage

This defines how often a Serial Number / ID or Activation Key could be used. To allow one additional activation, just add 1 to the number displayed in Effective Key / ID Usage

 

Regular license check (days)

Set the interval in days for ongoing verifications, e.g. 20 days. This overrides the interval set in the  licensefile or defined in the project.config file. The modification is applied after the next online validation

 

Cancel Regular License Verification

Cancels the ongoing verifications after the next online validation

 

Lock a license

•Locking a license blocks the product activation or key usage in case the key was not used

•To lock / revoke a license, which was already used, a regular online check is necessary

 

Abusive Usage

If an activation or license validation fails several times for a key / ID, this key is automatically flagged as - abusive usage. An online validation of the same key which had a valid product activation before or a reinstallation on the same computer will still work.

 

However a key usage which results in an error like key was already used will generate an unknown error (code 16384). The idea is that the Activation Server can automatically detect, if someone spreads a key / ID through the Internet and the usage of this key will generate unknown errors during product activation.

 

Locking a key will completely stop the usage of the key (e.g. also a valid product activation would be locked with the next online validation) while marking the key with abusive usage will affect only misused keys.

You can uncheck this option if it was wrongly activated. The configuration for this is done within the product configuration.

 

Note

add a note to document changes. A Key with a note is displayed in the list view with the icon
