The extended call center configuration is a replacement of the configuration via call center adapter (available starting with version 5.8). The configuration using the call center adapter (now called legacy call center configuration) can still be used but not all configuration options are available.
Within App Setup select Installed Packages and then click on Configuration.
Then select the TAB - Call Center Setup
Click on the button Start Setup.
The call center setup comes with multiple default configurations
•Default - Call Center Setup - Standard setup for all countries
•German - Call Center Setup - Setup with default values for Germany
•US - Call Center Setup - Setup with default values for US
The default setup could be used for all countries where German and US have specific default values which are relevant only for these countries.
You have to add a user to the call center configuration. Otherwise the user will not have any CTI setup assigned. Only if this step is done, the user will get the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone.
In case you get the following error message first install the latest adapter with the name: adapter-advanced-configuration.xml
