Preconditions

Requires a configured MS-Teams setup with direct routing or MS-Calling Plan

Azure Subscription Bot Service enabled (Precondition)

License for Microsoft Teams Phone Resource Account (can be bought from the Billing section in Microsoft Admin Portal - it's free of cost.)

The Calling Policy must have the Call forwarding and simultaneous ring to external phone numbers option enabled in Teams Admin Center. The best solution is to add a new policy for the Salesforce users.

 

 

 

Main Line Number attached to call queue

The main line number will be used as caller id for all extensions.

Main line number will be attached to a Call Queue

Call queue needs to have direct redirect to a main reception user.

This must be service number for calling plan. For direct routing it can be any type.

This number will be assigned to resource account in teams admin.

Resource account will be attached to the call queue

 

For assigning a calling policy to a user

Go to teams admin https://admin.teams.microsoft.com/users

Manage Users

Click on user you want to assign a policy

Go to Policies tab

Click on Edit in Assigned Policies

Go to Calling Policy and change to new policy
