Create new record during call

Sometimes you want to create new records while you are on a call e.g.

 

call where the phone number can not be identified - create a new Lead, Account or Contact

create an opportunity

create a case

launch a flow or visualforce page

 

This can be easily done by selecting an object in the Create New... picklist.

 

 

 

 

For Lead, Account and Contact the phone number will be automatically inserted. Some standard objects like cases will be automatically have the caller data (e.g. contact) inserted.  

If a custom object has a lookup relationship to account or contact it will add the related record.

 

The newly created record will be assigned to the call.
