Citrix / Terminal Server

First check, if your TAPI server is approved for Citrix / Terminal Server usage. You then do not need additional licenses for CTI Data Connector Enterprise Edition. If the TAPI driver is installed on the local PC (telephone handset is directly connected to the PC) and CTI Data Connector Enterprise Edition is running on the  Citrix / Terminal Server, then the Terminal Server / Citrix Server Add-On for CTI Data Connector Enterprise Edition is necessary. This allows the local TAPI driver to communicate with the application on the Citrix / Terminal Server.

Installation with TAPI driver installed on Terminal Server

Proceed as explained in the network installation chapter. During the Workstation Setup, select in the program manager dialogue: Install CTI Data Connector Enterprise Edition for all users.

If the TAPI server is Citrix / Terminal server approved, every user can select a TAPI driver for his phone.

Installation with TAPI driver installed on the local PC (Terminal Server Add-On required)

Some TAPI drivers don't work on a Terminal Server (e.g. there is no 64bit TAPI driver or the driver is not Terminal Server compliant). Having this situation you can install the TAPI driver on the local PC. The installation process requires an additional setup and the license for the Terminal Server Add-On.
