The phone book allows to search by company name, last name or first name.
The search is done in all databases configured for your system, the quick dialing list and in the contact folders of Microsoft Outlook™ .
To open the phone book either:

Search
You can either search by company name, last name or fist name. The search result depends on the selected search options.
Search Options
Picklist: Search for
This option limits the search:
• | Company name only |
• | Contact name only (Last name and first name) |
• | Company / Contact name = search in all data |
Option: Exact Phrase
Only search results, which match the search word exactly, are displayed.
Option: Begins with
If selected, the name has to begin with the search word. Otherwise, the search word will be searched in any part of an address or name.
Example: Search iller - A search result for miller would only be displayed, if the option is not selected. It is like searching with *iller*
As you normally don't search for part of names, this options is disabled by default.
Special Characters
The character * ignores all subsequent or previous characters. It is not necessary as the search can be better managed using the search options.
Display search result
All addresses are displayed in the right area. The result is grouped by the data source (Database , quick dialing list
or Microsoft Outlook™
) where the address was found.
• | Click on the company name to get a list of all contact persons |
• | Click on the contact person to display on the left side the business card with phone numbers |
If the information is available, a symbol for female or male
is displayed.
Dial
Click on the phone number in the business card.
Button Dial
Highlight a name and press Dial. If multiple phone numbers are assigned to this name, a list with all phone numbers is displayed. Alternatively select the option: Enter Number to dial an individual phone number.
