CTI Data Connector 

The CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application is using the Salesforce inbuilt licensing system.

 

This process is only required for the legacy call center configuration is used. If the extended call center configuration is used, the users are added and removed there.

1. Assign a license

 

Within App Setup select Installed Packages and then click on Manage Licenses.

 

The license assignment is not required for Sandbox installation. You could continue with step 2.

 

 

Now add the users which should work with the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application

 

 

 

You can remove a user by clicking on the Action Remove next to the user name.

 

 

 

You have to switch to Salesforce Classic to see the users, assigned to a license

If the user does not get a license, the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone application only appears with a blue background  or the CTI Data Connector SoftPhone shows multiple Browser windows

 

       

 

 

2. Add users to the call center

Call Center Configuration (legacy)

Select the call center adapter (click on adapter name) and scroll to the end of the adapter

 

Now click on the button: Manage Call Center Users

Add the users who should use CTI Data Connector for Salesforce®.

 

 

If the user is not listed, he is probably assigned to another call center adapter. You have to remove the user from this adapter because one user cannot be assigned to multiple adapters at the same time.

 

You can remove a user by clicking on the Action Remove next to the user name.

3. Install a connector

On each users computer install a connector or configure a Desk Phone. In case the GoConnect server is used you have to add the extension of the user.
